OFFICERS

My name Is Oyshi Rahman, and I am currently a junior. I am also key club's new elected Editor. I've been a key club member since I was a freshman in high school, and ever since I joined it has made a huge impact in my life. I have met many interesting people through key club, who now are my closest friends. I joined key club knowing that all I would do was community service. Honestly, all I thought I would get out of it was community service hours for my college resume. Fortunately, I have gained so much more from it. Being a part of in key club I received endless amounts of new experiences which I will cherish throughout my life. One experience I could clearly remember is attending leadership training conference in Albany. Attending the conference I have learned so much about myself and met so many different people. Being a part of Key club has helped me grow as a person. I wanted to be an officer of Key Club because I wanted to be more involved in fundraising for charities and help raise awareness for causes. As an officer of Key Club I want to get more people to join the club, I would want more people to have fun while helping. I have many ideas to help improve the club and to attract more students to join the club. I am grateful to be an officer of Key Club and look forward to being the new Editor.

Henry Guaman
            President
My name is Henry Guaman, your 2013-2014 key club service year president. I have been in Key club ever since I was a freshmen, and I enjoy participating in everything the club does. I love exploring and going to different places, and meet new people. Key Club opens so many doors for me as has taught me so much over the past few years in high school.
Bryant Key Club has offered me, these opportunities; I hope you members will take advantage of them too. As President I plan on :

1) Hosting more exciting events and fundraise for several different charities.
2) Keeping our members active and being social!
3) Providing our members with the best quality of service.

Well here is a little about me. I am Ecuadorian and 17 years old. I love volleyball but contrary to stereotypes I don't enjoy soccer. I have two siblings and of whom I'm very close with, we watch a lot of TV together.
When I'm not in front of the projector, I hang-out with my friends, and fellow officers. Also, I like to dance, act, studying with friends for AP Chem and
several different courses and being a part of various after school activities. Thank You and I look forward in serving you to the best of my abilities.

Hey Guys
My name is Kevin Sanchez and I am your 2013 –
2014 Vice President. I am currently a junior and I
am 17 years old. Some of things I like doing is
listening to music, scrubbing Henry, Victoria and
Mahmud in handball, and taking pictures.
I joined Key Club in freshmen year and have
gone to many events where the club would
walk, volunteer or set up. It was the greatest
experience I had while I was a freshman. Over
the years I not only joined Key Club but I also
took part in Global Kids which inspired me to do
a lot more things for the community. I’ve made
many new friends because of these two clubs
and for junior year I decided to become an
officer.
My goal for this club is for it to reach its highest
and at its best it can be. I will try everything with
all my heart to make this club the best in the
school.

Hello! My name is Humaira Shital and I have been Secretary for Bryant Key Club for 2012-2014. I started off in Key Club being a freshman and a new member who knew no one or what Key Club would bring to my life, a whole new experience. In a few days I met so many new friends and started to go to many events and had a great time giving back to the community and helping out. I started to love Key Club after the first event, waking up at 4 in the morning for events were a normal thing by then. I was so attached to Key Club by my Sophomore year that I decided it's time to take a higher level by becoming an officer. I ran for Secretary and got the position and being an officer has brought new changes into my life. I learned to be a leader and took on new responsibilities. Key Club is a family that you can't let go even after high school or college. Being an officer has had its ups and downs with a lot of responsibility and planning. Everyone would ask what school we were from and say that they are really thankful to have people like us helping them out. Hearing these kind of things from people satisfies me and makes me happy knowing that others are happy. All these events and helping out were all worth it and still will be in the future. I hope to continue being in Key Club even after leaving high school. As they say "Key Club is life ".

Hello everybody my name is Ivan and I am your new Co Treasurer. I am very honor and glad to be part of key club. I’m looking forward to work alongside the other officers. I'm a seventeen year old who lives in Elmhurst and spend most of my life in Elmhurst. The sport that I like the most and play it as well is basketball. The inspiration came from a former net player, which was Jason Kidd who I'd watch when I was small. I love to hear music even if it instrumental. I’m open mind when it comes to music. I believe each genre of music is special in their own ways. I only have one sister, but I'm still the oldest one. As you can tell I don't have a huge family but I still love them anyways, joining key club was such a amazing experience. Even if it wasn't a long time I'd had fun along the way. I met some amazing people in key club, who now I call them my friends. I didn't want my Junior Year to like be my Sophomore Year all boring. As I got involved in key club I wanted to continue to get more involve with it. I thought being an officer was the next step to get more involve. I don't to remember high school to be boring, I want to remember it for the things I did and the people I'd met along with it. I wanted my Junior Year to start with a bang and joining key club was the first step. As your new Co Treasurer, my plans for this year are to help the club to fund raise as much possible. This year I'll help our new Treasurer with ideas and how to plan those ideas into actions. Of course we'll need members to help us as well. I believe that this year will be a very unique for all of us, not just for the officers but all of you, the members of this club. Like Jack London once said "You can't wait for inspiration, you have to go after it with a club”. I hope you guys can do that in our coming term as officers.

When I joined Key Club International my sophomore year, I wasn't sure what I was getting into; I was simply told that it looks good when applying to college. I soon realized that it would be one of the things that would define my life in high school and my life after high school as well. I discovered that I had a skill in making new friends and that I really truly enjoy helping the community. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to run for treasurer my junior year and I succeeded. I was able to further my leadership skills and went to LTC, organizing Fundraiser and meeting new people. I took great pride in the events I took in Key Club and I was happy I made a choice to join William Cullen Bryant's Key club as an officer.
